Dear Diary...

Yesterday Mum and Dad have been giving me a general clean inside.

Today, dad took me to the garage and they changed my Fuel filter and Oil. They cleaned my air filter, so was no need to change.

They did  a service on my Breaks / wheels but the news are not the best...

You want to know why ??

My Breaks master cylinder is dropping the break fluid, which is Dangerous on the road :(

I mean... 1 week to go in a long journey and now this is just what I need...

Yes, dad has been around brokers to find a replacement master cylinder but until now, just found 1 place (new master cylinder) which ask for £113.00, this of course, without the labour.

All together can go up to £ 200.00.

Dad spent the day in the garage and tried to solve this problem but no luck...

Mechanic recommend dad to keep an eye on the fluid box and dont let it go to empty or air can go in the breaks and this will be the end !! :( ohhh dear!!)

Anyways... I have my service done...

Labour      -> £50.00

Oil          -> £31.00

Oil Filter -> £10.39

Of course all this prices include 20% of VAT

All together was under £100... yupppyyyy ,

Dad was counting on this price but was not counting on Master Cylinder issue :(

And now ??

Yes, insert coin please because if dad have to pay this stupid money for the part I need , the money for travelling will be very short and this will create issues... I think !!
Then we will  need lots of tissues ..

I go to bed and pray to lord to give me luck for tomorrow  so dad can find a master cylinder at the brokers for a cheap price.

Chapter 18 - Paint... the inside moments !!!

Dear diary...

Today Dad was painting my inside doors and other pieces inside.

This is an on-going job, but the weather not have been too good recently, soi it is a slow work.

Dad keep promising that he will take me to a friend this weekend to have a look in my electrics... I wish !
Painting inside a camper-van with a paint brush is not very easy to do as it is lots of small corners and small spaces, this make things difficult and long time consuming :o/

Dear Diary...

Did you think  everything was over !? Not ! Still on the go...

Today I had some bad news, I lost a good friend ... I mean... Mum lost it !

This is a hard one !

Mum took her car to M.O.T and the car (her name was Daisy) failed, the guys of the garage offer to fix the problems on the car and Mum left the car in the garage and pick the car next day.

Yesterday, she phoned the garage and they told Mum, they have some bad news.

Guest what !?

You really need to insert a coin to read this one...

THEY PICK FIRE TO MUMs CAR !!

I mean.. They burn the car ! All ! Nothing left !!

While they were welding under the car, the car pick fire inside.

Moral of the story...

Do not put your car in the hands of  unprofessional, middle of the road garages !!!

ABOUT ME:

Same day to relax, mum and Dad have had a go on me again but the whether is not very nice at the moment so they are waiting for better days to keep on my paints.
Oh but in the mean time mum has finished my 2 front seats cover :):) So i am all dressed up nice now :) Just waiting for dad to go back to his paparazzi work ..so i can show you my new "dress" :)

Finally Dad decided to buy the paint, by now he spent £110 only on paint but he decided to finish the job on me.

Today he clean my roof top and is now ready to be painted.

He sand all the bits and pieces left behind from last time (inside doors and the inside metal bits close to the windows)

The pop up top has already been sanded at the time Uncle Denis was around, so I am now ready for the last paints.

Dad was waiting for the paint to be delivered today but didn't happen :(

Hope the paint will be here by tomorrow morning.

OMG...  I look AMAZING !!

Mum and Dad have been working on the seat covers, like foreigners working on a factory !!

Dad wanted to make some over-time last night but Mum didn't want , so.. they finished all the seat covers today :)

OMG I really look like a VIP from the Magazines...

 As you can see, I still have the old covers on the front (this will change too ;) For now , Dad like to use only some rugs on top of the seats.

 Am I beautiful !? OMG !!!

Dear Diary...

For 2 days mum and dad have been working very hard on my cushion covers, they just have time to stop for a barbecue at the end of the day and that's all. 2 days and the sewing still going on.

mum and dad have their fingers hurting by now... Its not easy to saw all this fabric around my cushions, (as some one says... "The bigger the cushion, the better the push in" ;)

Finally, man in action !! Dad is sewing seat covers all around, while Mum sewing the corners.
This two make a good working team.
